iolo technologies Files Patent Application for Optimized Data Storage Method

Breakthrough technique for predictive file storage reduces data entropy and improves system performance

LOS ANGELES, CA – October 4, 2010 – iolo technologies, ranked the fastest-growing U.S. company in both 2010 and 2009, today announced the filing of a patent application for a breakthrough method for ultra-efficient data storage on computer systems. This is the second key patent submission in iolo’s portfolio of technology innovations focused on the improvement and sustainability of computer performance.

The recently filed patent application stems from critical discoveries related to the way modern data storage devices process information and computer systems’ susceptibility to a newly identified phenomenon of gradual degradation that iolo calls “data entropy”. It lays specific claims to an invention that can produce dramatic improvements in speed and efficiency using a uniquely predictive method for intelligent data storage.

“iolo is excited about the significant technological advance this patent application filing represents,” said Noah Rowles, CEO of iolo technologies and co-inventor of the new method, “not only because it symbolizes our long-standing commitment to scientific innovation, but also because we are able to deliver value directly to our customers as it is embodied within our line of products.”

iolo reports that extensive lab test results indicate the optimized method of data storage has the potential to generate remarkable overall performance gains for a broad variety of computer system environments and applications, ranging from portable devices to enterprise servers. Among its plans for commercial implementation is an incorporation of the technology within its forthcoming System Mechanic 10 software.
